Hayley won both the Maryland and Delaware State Open Bodybuilding contests in 2009 and we were interested in setting up a full photo/video session with this impressive 21 year old newcomer. She was just off her top cut contest shape, but you would hardly know it as she still had good definition to go with her impressive size- 140 pounds at 5'2". Hayley is very strong when in the off-season, and she just finished dieting for her shows.

We have had several photo postings for Shelly and here is our second full photo/video session with her from 2005, and here the 5'4" 130 pounder is in her muscular figure condition, featuring very good muscularity for figure topped off by killer good looks. We had already finished a 'standard' WPW photo/video session with her several months ago, so here we had some fun shooting her 'on location' at various spots in the New York City area, as described for the individual clubs. The video taken at the time of the photos is now available as WPW Video/DVD 668, and features all the posing footage in several outfits at all the NYC locations, with a small interview.

This month we will feature the prejudging and finals photos taken during the bodybuilding event at the 2010 Teen, Collegiate and Masters Nationals. Next month (April 2011) we will post photos of the figure events. For this first set of photos, WPW photographer John Nafpliotis photographed the prejudging of the Masters (35 and older) event for the light, middle and light heavy-weight classes. Some of the women shown include the top 3 for each class: Stacey Pillari, Margaret Negrete and Nilso Anderson in the light class; Amy Sibcy, Janet Kaufman and MacKenzie Barton in the middleweight class; and Beth Wachter (Overall 35+ winner), Karen Choate and Kate Cooper in the light-heavies.

The theme here was why any photographer would want to do work with Dani since she had never competed. Dani was seen in the audience of a bodybuilding contest in California and had a photo shoot on the spot. She was introduced to Ray for video work, and in her posing scenes she was determined to show 'she was good enough' to be in the video. Though very lean, her upper body was very developed, and she became a fan-favorite based on her unusual bicep peaks...and, we still don't know her last name !

WPW editor Steve Wennerstrom knocked off some nice shots of two women who are not well known yet, both in top contest shape at the time of the US Championships. Amy Neal (black bikini) is from Atlanta and was in top contest shape at 5'3" and 130 pounds here. Emily Holder (brown/white bikini) lives in the Pittsburgh, Pa, area and has been competing locally since 1998, just starting to compete in the national shows this year. Both women will be featured in the 12/03 issue of Women's Physique World Magazine.

WPW had a few sessions with Claudia starting around 1990, and she posed with her natural brown hair. One Ray Martin 'gimmick' was to use top physique models with hairpieces, as to 'make up' a new competitor. Very few caught on to this for Claudia, as the extreme change in hair color (from dark brown to platinum blonde) made it hard to ID her in 1992. Claudia was in near contest shape and getting ready for a date- her makeup artist was surprised to learn she was a top bodybuilder, and the posing scenes in different outfits take that theme from there. Claudia was from the suburban DC area and had a successful career both as a bodybuilder and powerlifter- at one point, a magazine declared her as the best looking powerlifter in the sport, and judging by her looks here, that was probably true !

No sense in going into which are her best body parts, they are all very highly developed- dense muscularity and fabulous definition in every body part, topped off by great looks and nice long blonde hair!!

Janelle Ennis was one of the main reasons that the Ray Martin Video company was formed, as she had talent over and above the normal posing and gym sequences. She was from a small town in Pennsylvania, competing mainly in regional contests, and had no formal training in acting, . But, during a WPW session, she hammed it up, thus a new company was formed to tape the women in story-line videos when possible. This video features two shootings- the original footage which was on the WPW video #212, then the follow-up session when she was off-season. In addition to her posing scenes, lots of fun scenes where she comes up with great lines off the cuff. This was taped in 1992 and was unique for the time.
