Bonnie is from Massachusetts and has been on the national scene for several years, placing 11th in the 2008 Nationals, 6th in the 2009 Nationals and won the heavyweight class of the Masters Nationals Over 45 in 2010. She was in incredible shape at that latter contest when WPW photographer, John Nafpliotis had this photo/video session with her. She was totally chiseled at 5'6" 150 pounds and is quite strong during training, which includes 10 reps at 405 pounds for squats and 100 pound dumbbell presses for reps- not bad for a woman pushing 50! Bonnie hits the shots in a bikini and one dress. The video footage is now available on WPW DVD 758.

In addition to the Pro shows each year at the Arnold Classic, an amateur bodybuilding contest is also held, one which features American women and those from overseas as well. WPW photographer John Nafpliotis did all the photos, and this amateur event featured some very impressive women: in the heavy class Maria Bello won (and Overall as well), followed by Salla Kaumen, Nidia Hermosilla and Kat Kyptova; the middleweight class features winner Marina Lemenovskaya, Sherry Gray, Lisa Taubenheim among others, and the light class was won by Lisa Aranda. The photos were taken at the prejudging when the women were hitting the compulsory photos.

We continue to offer DVDs, video downloads and streaming for long-out-of-catalogue WPW videos from the 80's and 90's. The four women here were all taped in 1985-1986 with our first 3/4" video equipment, so the quality is good but not as good as later material. Doughdee poses in six different outfits, both in contest shape (only time) and off season, Raye is in great off season shape, Shari is in near-contest shape (but big) and Connie is off season, but good shape. All four women pose in a variety of outfits. For Doughdee and Shari, there is dubbed music over the posing, Raye is 'live' for two outfits and dubbed for her other two, and all of Connie's posing is 'live'.

Chris hits the shots in her white posing bikini, most of which were taken in perfect lighting against Steve Wennerstrom's garage door, a familiar backdrop at the time- other were taken against a professional backdrop with great lighting also. Aside from maybe Kay Baxter, no one was more muscular than Chris at this time.

Kate Brown/Andi Breunig/Rebecca Wheeler- here is a nice of photos of three new women, all in one photo club featuring 51 photos. Kate Brown (burgundy bikini) is a fitness/figure competitor from Florida, with upper end muscularity for fitness; Andi Breunig (blue one piece and blue bikini) is a fitness competitor from California; and Rebecca Wheeler (black bikini, green one piece) is another Californian competing in figure. More photos and info on all three of them in an upcoming issue of Women's Physique World magazine.

We are releasing all of the 2009 Nationals Figure photos this month (August 2010) beginning with the two shortest classes, Class A and B. Kim Trowbridge won Class A, and Kathleen Tesori placed first in Class B, both getting their IFBB Pro Cards...others in the top three in these classes include Debra LaVette, Tina Francis, Josie Zamora and Jennifer Smythe, and many others are featured in the photos taken by WPW photographer, John Nafpliotis. The women do their quarter turns in bikinis and high heels.

Nicole Berg won this class and as a result was able to turn IFBB pro. Others in this class include LaDawn McDay (2nd), Anita Nikolich (3d) and about 20 other top women. John Nafpliotis took the photos.

The Nationals is the top amateur contest of the year and we are releasing all of the 2009 bodybuilding and figure stage material this month. Here we have the lightweight class during prejudging, featuring John Nafpliotis' stage shots of the top three women- Lori Steele (who got her IFBB pro card), Kirsten Haratyk, Barbara Fletcher and about a dozen others.
