Classes E and F are the tallest classes in the figure events, and the photos here, taken by John Nafpliotis, show the women in Class E doing their quarter turns in bikinis and high heels. Mindy Smith won this class, getting her IFBB pro card, and Kim Sheppard (2nd), Amy Vetter (3rd) and many others are shown.

We met Diane as a spectator at the 1988 Jr USA and had our only photo/video session with her at that time. She competed locally in Georgia, where she was from, we did this session with her, and as far as we know, she dropped from the scene soon after. She was in off-season shape here, with great shapes and incredible looks, yet still had a lot of definition. We couldn't do gymwork, but she poses in bikinis and dresses, is interviewed, and there is a short clip of her taken from a TV show showing a stage routine.

I’m Monica Martin, and I’m a professional female bodybuilder from South America. I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. However, I lived most of my early life in the city of Santos. Santos is located on the coast of Brazil, about 70 kilometers from Sao Paulo.

I began bodybuilding as a teenagers, and have been training ever since. I was the first bodybuilder from my country to classify as a professional bodybuilder.

I began competing after a few years of training, and won first place in all competitions which I entered, including:

Brazilian National Championship, South American Championship, and Ibero-American Championship

Doughdee was probably the most popular woman bodybuilder who hardly ever competed ! In fact, as far as we know, she only leaned down for two contest, around 1983-1984, then built her career on her special 'look', which featured huge size and shapes in her off-season, generally between 150-180 pounds at 5'2". In addition, she had tremendous physical strength and most of the WPW tapings with her featured very impressive gymwork. We had three videos (WPW 23, 45 and 66) of Doughdee prior to this, so this is basically a 'compilation' of her best footage from those three videos. Included is Super 8 transfer from 1984, then sessions taken with real video in 1985, 1986 and two in 1987- some contest shape, but most in her famous off-season condition. Gymwork, interviews and lots of posing in bikinis and many dresses of one of the most unusual women in the sport ever.

WPW photographer John Nafpliotis shot the middleweight prejudging, featuring the top three women- Lisette Acevedo (who got her IFBB pro card), Janet Kaufman and Terri Harris, and about a dozen more top women.

Classes C and D are the 'medium' height classes in the figure events, and here we have the many women who competed in Class D in the Nationals. Featured are class winner Taylor Gallagher (received her pro card), Casandra Madero (2nd), Ryan Everson (3rd) and many others, all doing their quarter turns in bikinis and high heels. We had several photo/video sessions with Brenda, all in 1986, when we taped her in both top contest shape and off season. She competed locally in Texas, did a couple of larger shows, then disappeared from the scene soon after. At 5'2" and around 140-150, she had beautiful muscle shapes and size, and great abs even when off-season. Every body part was well developed, including large arms, a huge back and impressive size in her lower body, all topped off with lots of long brown hair and a beautiful face.Brenda works out, poses in many outfits and is interviewed, and the video quality is very good for 1986, though a small portion was taken with our camcorder 'on location'.

We are releasing all of the 2009 Nationals Figure photos this month (August 2010) beginning with the two shortest classes, Class A and B. Kim Trowbridge won Class A, and Kathleen Tesori placed first in Class B, both getting their IFBB Pro Cards...others in the top three in these classes include Debra LaVette, Tina Francis, Josie Zamora and Jennifer Smythe, and many others are featured in the photos taken by WPW photographer, John Nafpliotis. The women do their quarter turns in bikinis and high heels.

Marissa was from the northwest and after winning regional shows up there, made her debut on the national scene in 1987, when we had our first taping with her (originally on WPW video 84). We followed that up with more footage of her in 1988, and put it all on this WPW 106 video. She was in top contest shape both times- not shredded, but good hardness on a very lush physique, featuring great shapes and size, and facial beauty as well. For some reason we did not do gymwork either time, but interviews are included to go along with lots of bodybuilding posing in bikinis and dresses.

Kris Murrell won this class and the Overall title, enabling her to turn IFBB pro. Amber DeFrancesco was 2nd and Monique Jones third, and about 15 other top heavies also were photographed onstage by John Nafpliotis.
